The Haven Wolston is a special educational needs school that opened in 2022. The school admits pupils aged 11-19, who have an EHCP with the primary need of social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The ideology of The Haven Wolston is one of inclusivity and we are determined to see success for all of our pupils.
Our core aim is to offer a tailored education, to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing of our young people and provide wider opportunities.
We believe this ensures that expectations remain high, whilst also understanding that one size does not fit all and that some young people require both reasonable adjustments and tailored support to achieve.
We work extremely closely with parents, local authorities and other partners to remove the barriers many of our young people face academically, personally and in other areas of life.. Our commitment to strong relationships, open communication and mutual respect, permeates every area of our school community.
Our pupils and staff all work to uphold this ethos in our daily practices.
Our pupil’s voices are at the heart of everything we do, which enables us to support their mental health and emotional wellbeing, first and foremost.
The Haven Wolston integrates both a therapeutic and an academic offering, for a holistic approach for every pupil. This is evident in our school design, environment and culture.
